ASUS ROG Maximus II Formula Motherboard Now Available
Asustek has announced the ASUS ROG Maximus II Formula Socket 775 gaming motherboard, based on the new Intel P45/ICH10R chipset. Each Maximus II Formula comes equipped with a SupremeFX X-Fi sound card. This ATI CrossFire-ready mobo has the new ROG Extreme Engine – a next-generation multi-phase power design that provides additional overclocking headroom for extreme computing situations. It is based on a 16-phase power design for the CPU, 2-phase for memory, and 3-phase for the north bridge. The Asus Maximus II Formula supports Intel Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual-Core, Celeron Dual-Core, and Celeron processors, and FSB up to 1600MHz. It has four memory slots for up to 16GB of DDR2 1600/1333/1066/800 MHz memory, two PCI Express x16, three PCI Express x1, and two PCI 2.2 slots. The motherboard is now available for purchase at eWiz for $265.00.
