Sony has released the VAIO NW laptop series, featuring a 15.5″ display, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 512MB dedicated or GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, and a Blu-Ray Combo drive in select models. The Sony VAIO NW Series comes in brown, white, and silver and runs Windows Vista Home Premium OS. The laptop starts at $800 for the standard configuration and $880 for models equipped with the Blu-ray drive.

Toshiba Mini NB205 Netbook Launched

HP Mini 110 XP, Mini 110 Mi Netbooks Now Available

Hewlett Packard today launched the HP Mini 110 XP and HP Mini 110 Mi 10.1-inch netbooks, both based on Intel’s Atom N270/N280 processors. The HP Mini 110 XP Edition supports up to 1GB of memory and either a solid-state drive (up to 32GB) or a 160GB hard drive, as well as optional WWAN. An optional Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator for 1080p high-definition content is expected to be available in July. The Mini 110 with Mi runs on a Linux operating system and supports up to 2GB memory up to 250GB of hard drive storage and up to 64GB SSD. The HP Mini 110 XP and HP Mini 110 Mi start at $329.99 and $279.99 respectively. For business users, HP has launched earlier the Mini 1101.

Apple has update the aluminum unibody MacBook Pro line to include 13-inch, 15-inch and 17-inch models. Each MacBook Pro includes an LED-backlit display, the innovative glass Multi-Touch trackpad, an illuminated keyboard, an SD card or ExpressCard slot, a FireWire 800 port and NVIDIA graphics. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275 Video Card Launched

The GeForce GTS 250 features 128 processing cores, a 256-bit memory interface and 512MB or 1GB of GDDR3 video memory. New Mac Pro Launched

Apple today launched the new Mac Pro using Intel “Nehalem” Xeon processors and a next-generation system architecture. The workstations deliver “up to twice the performance of the previous generation system”, according to Apple. “The new Mac Pro includes Intel Xeon processors running at speeds up to 2.93 GHz, each with an integrated memory controller with three channels of 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC memory that delivers up to 2.4 times the memory bandwidth while cutting memory latency up to 40 percent. Every Mac Pro comes standard with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 with 512MB of GDDR3 memory, a high-performance graphics card with nearly three times greater performance when compared to the previous generation system. An optional ATI Radeon HD 4870 is available for even more performance,” the press release says. The new Mac Pro starts at $2,499.

Apple today announced updates to its iMac and Mac mini consumer desktop lines. “For the same $1,499 price as the previous generation 20-inch iMac, the new 24-inch iMac delivers a 30 percent larger display, twice the memory and twice the storage. Delivering up to five times better graphics performance, the updated Mac mini (starting at $599) now features the same groundbreaking NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics introduced with the aluminum unibody MacBook family. Gateway has released the LX6810-01, the first desktop PC with the Nvidia GeForce GT120 video card. According to some reports, the GT120 is actually a re-branded Geforce 9500 mainstream desktop GPU that has 32 processing cores and a 128-bit memory interface. The GT120 in the Gateway desktop comes with 1GB of DDR2 video memory.

NVIDIA has launched the GeForce GTX 295 gaming graphics solution that features two GTX 200 GPUs on a single card. The GPUs have 1792MB of GDDR3 video memory, 480 cores, and a 896-bit memory interface.

The Sony VAIO P Series ultra-thin laptop, which weighs only 1.4 pounds, is now available for pre-order. It features a 8-inch display, Intel processor at 1.33GHz, 2GB of DDR2 memory, a hard drive or a solid state drive, Intel’s GMA 500 integrated graphics, and Windows Vista OS. The Sony VAIO P Series will ship in an array of colors, including garnet red, emerald green, onyx black, crystal white and classic black. It starts at $899.99.
