Gateway today launched the new Gateway FX gaming and LX multimedia series desktop PCs. The available Gateway FX6710-01 model includes the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 processor, the ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics, 6GB of DDR2 memory, a 750GB HDD, and Creative X-Fi audio. It costs $1,179.99 at Newegg. The Gateway LX6200-01 model includes the AMD Phenom X4 9500 quad-core processor, ATI Radeon HD 3200 integrated graphics, a 750GB hard drive, and 8GB of RAM. Apple released today the refreshed MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air laptops with redesigned exteriors and new internal components.
Toshiba has released the 15.4-inch Satellite Pro S300 and 14.1-inch Satellite Pro S300M business notebooks. The S300 and S300M come with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, 2GB or 3GB of DDR2 memory, up to 250GB of HDD storage, and a DVD burner. The Toshiba Satellite S300 and S300M laptops run Windows Vista OS and start at $829 and $899 respectively with a 2-year warranty.

Asustek has unveiled the Asus M50Vm-A1WM, their first notebook that supports WiMAX wireless broadband technology. Along with Intel’s combined WiMAX/Wi-Fi module, previously codenamed “Echo Peak”, the 15.4-inch M50Vm-A1WM features the Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor at 2.26GHz, 4GB of DDR2 memory, a 250GB hard drive, the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS 1024MB dedicated graphics, a DVD burner, and Windows Vista Business OS. The laptop is available at NewEgg for $1,399.99.
A new affordable mini desktop PC (nettop) - the Shuttle X2700N - is now available in the United States. The X2700N, priced at $379.99 at NewEgg, features the Intel Atom 230 single-core processor at 1.6GHz, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 120GB hard drive, DVD burner, Intel’s GMA 950 integrated graphics, and an 802.11b/g wireless card. AMD’s first triple-core processor with an unlocked multiplier - the Phenom X3 8750 Black Edition (HD875ZWCGHBOX) - is now available. The Phenom X3 8750 BE “Toliman” Socket AM2+ CPU is clocked at 2.4GHz and has 3.5MB of cache. Pricing for the 8750 Black Edition at NewEgg is $134.00.

AMD today announced the ATI Radeon HD 4550 and 4350 video cards, the latest lower-end additions to the Radeon HD 4000 series. AMD’s press release says that the 4550 and 4350 cards will be priced at around $39 and $59 respectively.
Dell has released this week two new desktop PCs in its Studio lineup; the Studio Desktop and Studio Slim Desktop. With a starting price of $549, the Studio now includes Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processors, up to 8GB of RAM, integrated 7.1 audio, optional Blu-ray drives, and optional discrete ATI graphics. The Studio Desktop includes an extra 5.25-inch drive and a 350W power supply (compared to just 250W on the Studio Slim).

An innovative barebone desktop PC with a built-in 7-inch touch-screen - the Shuttle D10 - is now available in the United States. The D10 small form factor barebone includes an Intel G31 chipset based motherboard with GMA X3100 integrated graphics. It supports Intel Core 2 Duo / Celeron 400 processors and up to 4GB of RAM. The embedded display can be used for entertainment purposes, as well as for home surveillance, according to the company. The Shuttle D10 can be ordered through NewEgg for $409.99.
